Logo AEFAFornos de Algodres Group of Schools (Agrupamento de Escolas de Fornos de Algodres - AEFA) comprises establishments of pre-school education, primary and secondary schooling and is located in the municipality of Fornos de Algodres,  Guarda district, the second smallest county district. Its boundaries are the municipalities of Mangualde and Penalva do Castelo, the west; the county of Aguiar da Beira, to the north; the municipalities of Trancoso and Celorico da Beira, the source; the county of Gouveia, to the south.

The training offered by the AEFA is characterized by: pre-school education; 1st, 2nd and 3rd cycles of basic education; secondary education and further education and training courses - CEF (Administrative Assistant) and professionals (10th year: Auxiliary Health Technician and Electrical Network Technician; 11th year: Multimedia Technician and Restaurant Technician / Bar and 12th year: Auxiliary Technician of Health and Technician of Forest and Environmental Resources).

With regard to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), it is important to mention the particularity of the AEFA in the placement of these students in the last years of school attendance (age limit of compulsory schooling, as a reference), in pre-professional training activities, with the collaboration of local partners (companies / IPSS, among others).

The majority of the school population resides in the county; however, there are conditions to be able to receive the students from bordering counties, taking into account that they can stay in the student residence that is managed in a partnership between the Town Hall, the Association and the Social, Cultural and Sports Promotion Association of Fornos de Algodres (APSDFA)..

The AEFA has a total of about 525 students, distributed as follows: 67 in pre-school education; 117 in the 1st CBE; 83 in the 2nd CBE; 127 in the 3rd CBE (regular and CEF) and 131 in secondary education (regular and professional). The human resources of the group are constituted by: 74 teachers, 28 operational assistants, 6 technical assistants and a Psychologist.
